Find the right tires for your Geo
In 1989, GM partnered with Suzuki, Isuzu and Toyota to launch the Geo brand. Geos were intended to go head-to-head with Japanese imports, and are maybe best remembered for the Metro, a tiny hatchback that was rated at 53 mpg city/58 mpg highway. The Prizm sedan was based on the Toyota Corolla and was a stablemate with the Spectrum sedan, Storm sports coupe and the Jeep-like Tracker.
By 1997, consumer demand for subcompacts was on the wane and GM pulled the plug on the Geo line, although the Tracker was re-badged as a Chevrolet and continued for several more years. If you're driving a Metro, check out the Toyota Extensa A/S; it's a great all-season tire with a phenomenal treadwear warranty. Nexen's N'Priz AH5 is a great fit for the popular Tracker, and Kumho's Ecsta PA31 is a popular choice for Geo Storms. Got a Geo Prizm? You should consider the Yokohama Touring-S all-season tire.
