In this Radar All Season EV tire review, we will learn about the tire's features and benefits, positives and negatives, vehicle compatibility, available sizes, and other important details buyers need to know. So, read on and find out if the tire is a great choice for your drive!

    Features and Benefits

The All Season EV tire belongs to the high-performance all-season tire category, so you can expect it to offer solid year-round performance in dry, wet, and light wintry conditions. This tire's high-performance capability makes it great for performance-oriented EVs like Teslas. Now, let's learn about the tire's key features and their respective benefits.

    • Solid year-round performance - The All Season EV is engineered for year-round use and features an advanced compound that provides solid and traction performance in dry, wet, and light winter conditions. The four circumferential grooves of the tire disperse water and slush from the footprint and increase traction performance in wet and wintry conditions. Furthermore, the detailed sipes on the tread blocks also improve the grip on slippery surfaces. Additionally, this tire is M+S (Mud and Snow) rated, which means it will perform better on paved, muddy, and snowy surfaces than many standard all-season tires.
    • Improved stability and control - The tire features an ultra-react sidewall and a reinforced lower sidewall that provides stiffness and stability. Its wider, flat footprint also ensures enhanced controllability.
    • Increased EV range - The tire-s optimized silica-silane coupling reduces rolling resistance to ensure the tire contributes to increasing the EV range.
    • Quieter and comfortable rides - All thanks to the fine-tuned construction and optimized variable tread pitch sequencing, the All Season EV tire offers quieter and more comfortable rides as it nicely damps the noise and eliminates the generation of irritating sound arriving from the tread design.
    • Longer tread life - The tire features Duratough Technology, contributing to high mileage. This optimized technology combines a stiff yet low-heat build-up compound, dense siping on the tread, and robust construction to offer balanced surefootedness, reduce the chances of uneven or irregular wear, and provide longer tread life.
    • Covered with warranty coverage - The All Season EV comes with attractive warranty coverage of 40,000 miles to ensure the buyers do not have to worry about a good number of miles.

The All Season EV is offered in 18- to 20-inch rim sizes, and some of its tire sizes include:

SimpleTire's view on Radar All Season EV tires

If you want to buy a specific EV tire for your Tesla, Merc EQE, or something else, and you do not specifically want to go for the premium EV tires, then the Radar All Season EV could be a great choice for your drive. It might not be the cheapest tire in the price point category, but its features might drive your attention. The tire is backed by a 40,000 miles tread life warranty, which gives the buyers a great ownership experience. Performance-wise, it offers solid traction performance on wet and dry surfaces and is rated a 7.3 SimpleScore rating for traction. However, it isn't good on the traction front on snowy or icy surfaces. Moreover, it isn't a Three Peak Mountain Snowflake Certified tire and shouldn't be used in extreme winter conditions.

With an 8.7 SimpleScore for handling, it offers exceptional handling performance on dry and wet surfaces. However, it might lag on the pavement in wintry conditions. It scores a 7.9 SimpleScore for longevity, so you can expect this tire to serve you for a longer tenure.

The compound, tread, and even the construction of this tire are optimized to increase the EV drive range. Similarly, the tire enhances the ride experience by keeping noise levels low and comfort levels high by nicely absorbing road vibrations. However, the availability of this tire in very limited sizes might restrict other potential buyers from enjoying its drive.

The All-Season EV competes against the following tires:

These tires exceeded my expectations. They are better than the stock Michelin tires that came on the Tesla. Very quiet and comfortable ride. I have not tested them in wet weather or winter weather but time will tell. We will never drive in snowy condition, so I also don't have that information. But they appear to be Wearing well and balanced well.

So after 20,000 miles, the stock Michelin EV tires that came stock on our tesla Model 3 wore out. Not only that, but somehow the foam inside one of them became dislodged and was causing MAJOR shaking and balance issues. I know from a few friends of mine that EVs wear out tires because of their weight, so I decided to try this Radar tires because they were super affordable. I am so impressed! They are quieter than the stock Michelins, drive the same (I'm in San Diego, so we don't get much wet, so I don't know about wet performance yet.) They look great! Time will tell about wear and overall performance, but I am so happy with this purchase. I will be telling my buddy with a bmw i4 who wore his tires out in like 12,000 miles to give these a shot as they are so cheap, it doesn't seem worth it to buy such high performance tires from Bridgestone or similar if they wear out as fast as they do.
