Tires ride smooth and quiet. Should be good in New York winter.
I've been driving Ford pickups for more than 40 years, the Lexani Beasts are as good or better as any tire I've ever ran on any truck though I've not used them during a New England winter yet. And as for economy, it's a no brainer for the way I use my truck mostly on road, trailer pulling and though I don't off road recreationally, they're performance is fine for getting me in and out of the woods or on and off a dirt or muddy trail.
Great tires in my opinion!!
After doing a ton of research on more affordable AT tires, I landed on these Lexani's. So far I've been very satisfied with them. They're mounted on my first gen Tacoma which I use daily and, on the weekends pulling my boat. I've used them for road driving, highway, and wet boat ramps and these have excelled at all of those situations. Same gas mileage as my old street tires and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they have very little road noise compared to the street tires.
So I waited about 9 months to write this review. I have a 2019 4runner that had some really bald tires (good year duratracs) I bought these (size 287/70/17) They do very very well in wet conditions. No issues at all. Not slipping around corners. Winter they did good. Had about 4 inches of snow, and it got me through it all. Dry is excellent. Good tread on these things. Noise is almost non existent. So far I have about 3000 miles and they are doing great. Tread isnt wearing down at all. I have taken them on the beach, does good aired down a bit. Taken them offroad, no issues. Playing in mud isnt an issue either. Some mornings, when I am running late to work i'll hit 90-95mph.. no shaking, not worried. They balanced up nice with no issues either. I wish they were a little more beefy looking, but for the cost, you really cant beat it.
