  • Continental Tires is a renowned leading tire manufacturer that started manufacturing rubber carriage and bicycle tires before becoming the first brand to develop the first-ever automotive tire with a patterned tread. Continental offers a huge variety of tires in different categories such as ultra-high-performance, summer, all-season, winter, all-terrain, etc for a variety of vehicles. Continental tires are also used as OE tires for several vehicles.

The Continental ContiSportContact 3 is an ultra-high-performance tire that’s designed for use on sports cars and luxury sedans. The tire boasts several features and benefits which we will take a look at today in this Continental ContiSportContact 3 tire review, along with its pros and cons, and SimpleTire’s view on the tire.

    Features and Benefits

Ultra-high-performance tires are designed for use on sports and performance vehicles. These tires can provide consistent and reliable performance when driving at high speeds. Their rubber compound is generally heat resistant and has an optimized tread pattern to reduce braking distance when driving at high speeds.

The Continental ContiSportContact 3, being an ultra-high-performance tire, delivers excellent performance, with increased steering response and excellent braking performance using a variety of signature Continental technology and manufacturing processes. Here are some noteworthy features and benefits of the tire:

    • Ultra-high performance: The tire is designed with asymmetric tread ribs to be able to perform exceptionally well, even when driving at high speeds.
    • Quiet and comfortable ride: ContiSilent technology used helps reduce tire noise which helps to ensure a quiet and comfortable ride even when driving at high speed.
    • Run-flat technology: A self-supporting sidewall reinforcement with low-heat generating compound, supportive bead filler, and durable bead wire helps the tire run even when deflated. This means that drivers can expect to go up to 50 miles at speeds less than 50 MPH after a puncture or pressure loss.
    • Increased protection: ContiSeal technology seals damaged tire tread in case of penetration by foreign objects to reduce the risk of flat tires when driving.

The Continental ContiSportContact 3 is available in a variety of tire sizes ranging from 18 to 20 inches.

    Pros and Cons

Now that you know more about the features and benefits of the tire, let’s take a look at some of the pros and cons of ContiSportContact 3.

I use these on my Nissan Z32 twin turbo (paired 285-35-18) in rear. Great tires. I hope Conti never stops making them. I am particularly impressed with low road noise. Dry handling is second to none, as far as I am concerned. Wet handling is very good - but can be better. Money for value is as good as it gets, period.
